The HP Society for Promotion of IT & e-governance (SITEG) was created on 24-03-2005 under the Department of IT. This Society functions to promote investment in IT Technology to establish IT infrastructure, to create Govt. Public interface etc. with no profit motive. The society has an executive committee chaired by the Secretary (IT) to the Govt. of HP with Director IT as Member Secretary.
